Bianca Saunders is one of those British-Carrabean designers that is so under the radar when for me she should be at the same level as Martine Rose. I am happy though to see her brand is still standing given the London fashion scene not supporting its talents.

I found very interesting what she said about Paris as it feels like, as a French person, Paris supports more foreigners than French designers unless they are from a certain social class or have the right connections. It is also interesting that most designers with a diverse background are foreigners and celebrated like Bianca. I dare you to cite one French designer with a diverse background. Apart from Olivier Rousteing, none have the spotlight eventhough they exist.

Ah Emmanuelle, so insightful as always! Another thing I thought was really interesting that we didn't have much time to dive into, is the fact that Bianca is in the process (or has recently) taken elements of her business back in-house - communications for example. I think it's a brave move and shows she's in a position where she's writing the brand's future on her own terms. I found that really inspiring, especially as a woman leading a menswear business (when tradition dictates it's usually the other way round).
