A Thread about the SS25 fashion shows with Dazed's Emma Davidson

Dissecting fashion month with the Fashion Features Director at Dazed
2

Have you ever wanted a front row seat at fashion week? This week’s episode is pretty much that.

As you might know, Paris fashion week ended last Tuesday, closing out another month of shows in New York, London, Milan and the French capital. I wanted to get the perspective of someone who’d been there in person, so I invited one of my favourite editors to join me on the podcast and tell us what went down.

This week, I’m in conversation with the brilliant and hilarious Emma Davidson, Fashion Features Director at Dazed. We cover what fashion month looks like for her and how she manages all the content for Dazed’s fashion platforms, before diving into some of the standout moments across the four cities.

Below you’ll find some references to things we touched on in our chat. If there’s anything that’s still unclear, feel free to leave a comment and I’ll explain as best I can. Let me know what your favourite moments were, and if you agree or disagree with any of our takes!

You can also listen to the podcast on Apple Podcasts and Spotify., and follow Threads of Conversation on Instagram and TikTok.

Loose Threads

A designer we didn’t discuss but I really like is Torishéju. She was profiled by a writer I really like (Jason Okundaye) for a magazine I really like (Family Style).

Tom Rasmussen just released their new album ‘Live Wire’. The artwork (and that of their first album, ‘Body Building’) was shot by Tim Walker.

Looking forward to listening to The Big D(EI) podcast, a new series hosted by Daniel Peters, who also founded the Fashion Minority Report.
